With its self-owned and contracted supplier vehicles, Sarp Logistics offers road transport solutions that can respond to all customer demands, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), durable goods, cold chain, automotive and glass sectors, both domestically and abroad.
All our vehicles with a double-deck loading capability and an internal height of 2,800 mm create a significant cost advantage in low tonnage and precision loads. All our fleet vehicles are temperature-controlled, suitable for room temperature, cool, cold and frozen transport, and the in-car temperatures can be monitored from the center 24/7 on-line. With these features, Sarp Logistics can provide safe and economical transportation conditions.
All of the road transport operations including the collection, consolidation of customer orders, preparation of vehicle route plans, preparation of transportation documents and follow-up until delivery are provided by our specialized staff.
Bulk (Whole) Transportation
All requests from customers are transformed into transport operations with the principle of timely and trouble-free delivery.
Having the highest transport volume in the transportation sector and with their double-deck capacities, all the vehicles in our fleet bring cost savings especially for bulk goods transport. In Sarp Logistics self-service trucks, 66 pallets and in self-service trucks 42 pallets can be transported at one time. Depending on customer demand, sugar logistics services are also provided with complete (full-truck) loadings at all the sugar factories in Turkey.
Partial Transportation
For customers with less shipment than a complete vehicle, a more economical transportation cost is created by collecting pallet-based shipments and shipping them via regular distribution networks.
Milk-Run Activities
With efficient use of vehicle capacity on planned routes, multi-point loading/unloading provides a multi-way shipment flow at a low cost for the material needed.
Liquid Transportation
Thanks to its drivers trained in advanced driving techniques who have the SRC 5 Dangerous Goods Transport license, all kinds of hazardous or non-hazardous chemicals, fuel and liquid food transports are carried out smoothly in the domestic transport activities. The temperature values in the tank can be monitored on-line in liquid food transports.
Transport Management System (TMS)
During the transports, as part of the transport management system, which is Sarp Logistics’s in-house software, a decision support system is used that monitors, directs and predicts all processes of the vehicle from loading to delivery and return.
Based on the critical intersection and crossing points on the map of Turkey which are defined and weighted according to the actual routes used by trucks and 18-wheelers and according to the momentary position information of the vehicle carrying the load, the time to arrive at the next delivery/loading point can be calculated.
Since each point in the TMS map is defined by considering the roads suitable for 18-wheeler and truck traffic road calculations are made more realistically and accurately than current map applications. Thanks to the weighting of the system graph points, during seasonal conditions, road construction work, or force majeure (terror, natural disaster), the system can find the most suitable alternative route to the delivery point and can update the arrival time instantly.
The transportation management solutions used in the sector can present the past reports of the vehicles, the current transport records and the income-expense information related to these transports. By analyzing the momentary positions and future points of the vehicles according to the legal driving rules, the Sarp Logistics transportation management system provides an advantage over other shipping management systems due to its ability to predict when it can be reached at customer points and to update this estimate instantly.
In order to track vehicle delivery information, transport plans prepared by operational teams or delivered by customers are integrated into Sarp Lojistik TMS. To transfer multiple plans without requiring manual input for each transmission, the transferred plans are recorded step by step for each point as entry, loading/unloading start, and exit. For all the steps, the current and future information of the shipments can be managed through a plan that is “fully harmonized” with the times indicated by the transport plans.
By means of the shipping optimization within Sarp Logistics TMS, the most suitable vehicle for the requested delivery is assigned to the load. In case of delays, an alternative vehicle assignment can be made to replace the first vehicle assigned by the suggestion received from the system.
By comparing the time/target time with the target time, if there is a deviation in the plan, traceability of delivery is ensured by the specified customer display.
Since the arrival time to the destination indicated in the delivery can be estimated on-line according to the current position of the vehicle, the possible risks that may delay the delivery can be eliminated.
Supporting this process, thanks to the ability to enter critical information by drivers by installing an in-car tablet PC to fleet vehicles, many factors that may trigger the process can be transferred to Sarp Logistics TMS with a faster and more accurate manner.
